Memorial Day

Yesterday Katelyn celebrated her first Memorial Day! We spent the afternoon at the beach with friends and a couple other little ones. She mostly stayed under the umbrella out of the sun, but she got to check out the water and feel a little bit of the sand while we were there. She had a lot of fun watching the other babies and enjoying new sights and sounds. When we got in the car to go home, she feel asleep before we even got out of the parking lot!

This week we are getting ready for all our upcoming trips. Tony and I both leave on Friday, May 30th. I will be flying to Colorado, meeting my parents there, and driving back to California at the end of the week. Tony is getting ready to go Germany to help conduct a test over there. It will be sad to be apart again, but I know Tony is doing some really exciting stuff! It will be an excellent opportunity for him to go over there and get some experience for his job.
